Call to Action

We urge policymakers, healthcare providers, and employers to support equitable kidney care through:

  • Early screening and prevention
  • Culturally appropriate education
  • Accessible transplant pathways
  • Workplace flexibility for patients and caregivers

A Broader Health Challenge

Chronic kidney disease affects more than 472,000 Australians, with rising rates due to aging, diabetes, and hypertension. First Nations peoples and immigrant populations — including Vietnamese Australians — experience significantly higher rates of kidney failure, hospitalizations, and complications.

Dialysis, while life-extending, takes a toll. Patients often suffer fatigue, infections, mental health struggles, and career limitations. The COVID-19 pandemic only deepened the challenges by reducing access to deceased donor organs.

VietKHA is responding with solutions that are not just clinical — but also emotional, economic, and ethical.

What Sets Us Apart

At VietKHA, we don't just arrange transplants — we change lives. Our approach bridges continents and removes barriers, giving patients a second chance at life.

  • Innovative, patient-centered care model
  • Deep understanding of Vietnamese cultural and linguistic needs
  • Commitment to ethical, transparent, and clinically sound practices
  • Long-term patient support, including aftercare and reintegration

Our Mission

To improve kidney health outcomes for individuals of Vietnamese origin by facilitating timely, ethical, and high-quality access to kidney transplantation through global medical collaboration, patient advocacy, and compassionate care.

VietKHA

VietKHA is a health alliance network founded in 2022 to address the growing burden of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in the Vietnamese community. We work tirelessly to reduce barriers to kidney transplantation and provide access to quality, ethical care.

Our primary focus is supporting both transplant recipients and living or deceased donors throughout their medical journey. We advocate for faster access to transplants, especially for patients experiencing long wait times in Australia’s public health system. Through international collaboration, patient advocacy, and end-to-end coordination, we help restore health and independence to those affected by kidney failure.

Our team is what makes us great

Behind every life we help change is a passionate team of medical experts and support staff who care deeply about what they do. With compassion, skill, and a shared mission, our team walks beside each patient and donor—every step of the way.
